I should blog about last weekend. But I'm too lazy. So I shall just sum it up to: SMU open house + 7km hike with the boy. Incredibly tiring, but extremely fun.

Short summary

It has been a good week.

Let me just start off this post with the fact that I, Hoo Xin Yi, have successfully aced her BTT, and is one step closer to being able to drive. I was honestly afraid of failing the test though all my predecessors had assured me that the percentage of that happening was almost close to nil. I'm probably gonna begin learning the practical one; gonna call up the instructor tomorrow. 

Anyway, this weekend has been awesome. It started off from Friday since I took a day off (my first one, after almost 2 months of work) for BTT. Went out with the boy to Stadium of all places, but surprisingly they actually had New York New York there and I indulged in a plate of pasta (forgot the exact name, but it was awesome!!!). Later we went to chill out by some random river and caught a movie and I snuck him home.

Saturday slept till 4pm considering that I slept at 4am the night before. Went to cousin's wedding dinner, got further affirmation that I'm never gonna throw a wedding banquet. All the fuss and buzz and you don't know half the people you've invited (at least for me, I'm not close to my relatives I guess). I think I'm just gonna get married in some unknown island or resort. The wedding ceremony featured in twilight is something I would want in future I guess. In a foresty/beachy environment, with close friends and family who genuinely care about you. Went out for a midnight run with the boy till 2am after the wedding dinner. Ended up at serangoon eating ice cream at 1am. Udders was closed, so we had to settle for ooblong, which was, sad to say, below average.

Sunday. Went out in the morning to sail with Lingying, Wanqi and Shah (I hope that's how you spell it), had fun! Then snuck the boy into the house again because no one was at home, then went out TEMPS GATHERING @ Steve's house! Had so much fun there haha, felt like I was being myself finally, even though I could still feel judgments being made about me.

Yup, pretty much sums up my hectic weekend. Hope I have candidates tomorrow, haven't been posting ads as often as I should. Hmm, nights everyone! (:

Life has been incredibly hectic these past few months. Can't believe it has only been 92 days since my first A level paper (according to my countdown to A Levels app which I was too lazy to delete). Honestly I don't know what the future holds, but it's definitely not gonna be good. This is too depressing, let's move on.

So, life has been great for the past month I guess, apart from the fact that work has been a pain in the ass. I honestly feel like I'm paid too little for the shit and the number of hours I put in. Dad has been asking me to slack off at work, but it's literally impossible to slack off without being noticed when your boss is sitting behind you literally breathing down your neck. Well at least it keeps me occupied.

As for my love life, it has also been an incredibly messy affair at least up to now. Chng just booked in yesterday, haha I didn't cry like how Khng cried when Qi Hua went in. I guess I'm too strong for that (who am I kidding)... Anyway, I'm kinda missing the boy now though I do enjoy having time to myself. But I'll never find the time to blog if he didn't book in haha! 

Khng came for a sleepover last night! & only went home at 6pm today. The day consisted of waking up at 12pm and drifiting in and out of sleep after lunch and a 3 hr criminal minds marathon! Tee's in Europe now!!! She's been sending us photos!!! SO PRETTYYYY! Really wish I could be there! 

Okay enough blogging for today! Have to go online shopping for the boy's valentine's day gift. I do not buy valentine's day gifts for anyone, but Khng mentioned how awkward it would be if the boy actually got me one and so I relented.

Work was exhausting today.

Physically and mentally draining.

But I guess there are many lessons to be learnt each day, how to deal with different kinds of people mainly and the many excuses they come up with to justify why they were absent at work. 

Went to meet Jynn & Ahddy after work for dinner! Had a rather brief but still extremely fun meet up with them! Jynn had brought some fortune cookies over and mine said:

                                     All your present endevours will be successful

LOL I WISH.

Went with Glen for a basketball game after that! Had a good time really sweating it out even though I think his friends weren't that excited about having me in their team. But had a good time overall, grateful to Glen for introducing me all his basketball khakis!

Damn everyone who thinks that this is easy for me.

Spur of the moment

I read through my life, from when I was 14, and got a bit nostalgic. Thought I'd dedicate this post to my girls who've been a constant throughout my sec school and JC years. If you ask me how this clique started out, I'd say I have no idea. I think it had to do with people thinking that khng and I were twins in sec 1, hard to believe I know, but our close-sounding names didn't make it easier to distinguish us.

Anddd I got to know Tee when Mrs Lawrence put us together to do a project in sec 1. Come to think of it, my first impressions of her were quite funny. We were supposed to meet up after school everyday to do up a ppt for Mrs Lawrence and I didn't have a laptop at that point in time, so Tee had to bring hers. But on Monday she came to me saying that she'd bought a new laptop over the weekend so it's easier for us to do the project. I still remember thinking that either she's insane or filthy rich (though I think both descriptions are still valid to this date hahah). But even though we were grouped together, we still weren't that close, I think it was actually khng who brought us all together and we started going out together and doing a lot of funny stupid shit (wonder if khng still has the boil dance video when we were making tee's birthday cake). And both khng and tee knew fatin, so naturally I got to know her too! And I guess that's how we started of! But I'm incredibly thankful for having this bunch of people in my life, and for putting up with me (I do a lot of nasty things, including stealing tee's nice pens, no not stealing, I actually told her I'm taking it, she just gave me lol). And I love how I can just crash their houses as and when I like, it's incredibly fun even though we sometimes just sit around and do nothing. Or huddle up together to watch movies or camwhore! I'm incredibly blessed to have them! Love ya girls!(:

I once told Keith that if I were to have a superpower, it would be the ability to read people's minds. I find people so incredibly hard to fathom, like you'll never know what they're actually thinking. I just find people so incredibly scary sometimes, like how they can plaster a fake smile upon their face when they actually hate you inside.

This isn't what I want, but I'll take the high road. Maybe it's because I look at everything as a lesson, or because I don't want to walk around angry, or maybe it's because I finally understand. There are things we don't want to happen, but have to accept. Things we don't want to know, but have to learn. And people we can't live without, but have to let go.

Damn you for thinking that this is easy for me.

STUNNING GREECE

Chanced upon a schoolmate's blog a while ago and felt pretty inspired to blog after reading some of her posts. I am pretty envious, to say the least, of the fact that her parents actually allow her to travel alone/ with a partner friend to countries such as London. I have always wanted to do that, to just pack my bags and leave for a destination unknown. But with a bank account like mine and somewhat overprotective parents who has made it clear that I'm not travelling to any country alone, the chances of me actually doing that is almost close to nil. My dad has promised to sponsor me in those university school exchange programmes to countries such as UK and US, provided that I actually get into NUS/NTU, IF I actually get in. I guess that's my closest bet to having an expenses paid overseas trip at the age of 18/19. But pushing reality aside, one of the top 10 places that I really want to visit before I die would be Greece.

I can't say exactly when I actually took an interest in the country, but I'm just so intrigued by the history and architecture of the place. Moreover, they have GORGEOUS BEACHES.

AHHHH reading all the reviews of the place is making me want to visit Greece more. Sigh wish I could just hop onto a plane right now. MONEY WHY WON'T YOU GROW ON TREES? Life would be so much better then.
